This island represents kirtanam (chanting of the Holy Name). Places covered in Godrumadvip tour are Suvarna Vihara, Hari – Hara Ksetra, Svananda Sukhada Kunja (Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura’s house), Surabhi Kunja and Sri Nrsimha Palli.

Suvarna Vihara: At this place you can have darshana of beautiful life-sized Lord Caitanya, Srimati Radharani and Krishna. Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura established this Temple. Just behind the Temple you can see the original ruins of King Suvarna Sena’s palace.

Hari–Hara Ksetra: You can have darshana of Sri Hari-Hara Deity. This Deity is half Lord Siva (white half on the right) and half Lord Visnu (black half on the left) with their eternal consorts Srimati Parvati Devi on the right and Srimati Laksmi Devi on the left. There is also a Deity of Burho Siva or Vriddha Siva (Old Siva) with moustache and beard. You can see Deities of Gopala ji and Sitala devi riding on a horse.

Bhaktivinod Thakur house: You can see his room which has some of his personal belongings. Next to his house is a Temple. The main altar has a murti of Bhaktivinoda Thakura . Around the corner are his personal Deities, Sri Sri Gaur-Gadadhara.

Surabhi kunj: When Indra was overcome by Krishna’s illusory energy, he proudly flooded Gokula with rain. But Krishna carefully protected Gokula and at the same time broke Indra’s pride by lifting Govardhan mountain. Indra was afraid that he could commit offence again toward Gauranga in Kali-yuga so he asked the Surabhi cow for help. They came here and worshiped Lord Gauranga by chanting His Holy Names, which itself is very blissful. Surabhi cow remained here beside a banyan tree, constantly serving Gauranga’s lotus feet. The name of this island is based on this pastime as Go means cow and Druma means tree (banyan tree).

Nrsimha Palli: This Temple is famous since Satya-yuga when Lord Nrsimhadeva came here to take rest and wash the blood of demoniac Hiranyakasipu from His hands.Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His associates used to come here regularly to discuss Lord Nrsimha-katha and perform harinam sankirtan.
